This pollution mask is an N95 respirator. N95 respirators are a respiratory protective device designed to achieve a very close facial fit and very efficient filtration of airborne particles. This mask has been rated N95 by NIOSH.
The ‘N95’ designation means that when subjected to careful testing, the respirator blocks at least 95% of very small (0.3 micron) test particles. If properly fitted, the filtration capabilities of N95 respirators exceed those of face masks.
Each mask lasts about three weeks if used everyday for about 3 hours a day. If you live in Delhi, we recommend you wear a mask every minute you’re outdoors.
